In January, I decided to cut two inches off of my hair in order to get myself prepared for the "lob" I want to get in the near future (aka this month). It is a bit ironic because I spent about 2 years trying to grow out my hair, and then I finally realized that short/medium length hair just suited me better. Since I am currently in the process of changing my hair, I decided to real get educated on haircare and all that fun stuff, so I have compiled some awesome products that I totally recommend you check out!
L'Oreal EverPure Color Care System Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner: I talked about this in my February favorites, and I don't think I have ever tried a better drugstore shampoo or conditioner better than this. Also, I love how it is sulfate-free because I am highly allergic to sulfates.
Phyto Botanical Straightening Balm: After trying to master the art of an at home blow-out (still in the process btw), I decided I needed a product that would calm my frizz and be a catalyst to straighter hair. This product is made in France and uses non-chemical ingredients, which is huge plus for me. A little goes a long way so it is definitely worth the $30 price tag.
Macadamia Deep Repair Masque: If you haven't heard of this product yet, have you been living under a rock? I finally jumped on the bandwagon this year after reading reviews and watching youtube videos on this product for about three years now. Everything you have heard about this mask is true. It is simply amazing.
Living Proof Prime Style Extender: I got a sample of this product at Sephora about a few months ago, and I totally forgot about it. I found it in my bathroom while visiting home, and I decided to try it on a whim. Long story short, I went out that day and bought the full size. This stuff is great if you are styling your hair and want to maintain your look for an extra day or two.
Joico Color Endure Shampoo: While this is the Color Endure shampoo (which I love), I love the Joico purple shampoo even more. Since I have extremely blonde hair, I need to use a purple shampoo about once a week in order to get rid of any brassy tones. The best part about this shampoo is that it is sulfate-free, and you can really see the results. I used this shampoo to tone my hair for about an hour, and you could definitely see great results as soon as you washed it out of your hair.
Wet Brush: Just get one. Using a standard brush on your wet hair is soooo bad for you! It tangles and pulls at your hair, making your hair fall out and break.
A comb: Any standard comb is good. While I love the Wet Brush, a comb is just an essential for me and I have been using one instead of a standard brush for about three years now, and there is no other method I like better.
If you have any questions or comments, be sure to leave them for me on this post or at my tumblr! See you all Wednesday!
